Surviving Small, Living Large with Deana

*** Actually these last few posts (about construction) were written and shared on Facebook. I just wanted to share them here and bring my blog up to date. My blog has been under construction but now I think I'm good to go and if any are following my blog but not through Facebook....your up-to-date now.   We were discussing how much work the guys have got done. My sister and I were struggling to come up with the start date. Had to have been the 6th judging by all the work that’s been done but NOPE, they started Monday. This is just day 4. Got the rest of the drywall done. Photo on the left is of the other room, where the TV will go and a small refrigerator/kitchen area. Then right photo is down the very short hall. The living /kitchen area will have the neatest….oh wait, I’ll keep that as a surprise.

  And the work continued with a custom made desk where I’ll do my writing. It kinda resembles a roll top desk without that roll down part. Considered it attached to the wall but decided better not cause might need to be placed elsewhere once I start putting stuff in my little apartment. Hoping it will work here. This is just the bare bones… I could have asked for more detail on the desk sides but I’m going for a farmhouse feel and just want simple. Kinda closed in, but by the window and “short”cause hoping to use some outside light from that window.    

  So….back on track and lots of work has been done the last two days on my studio apartment. 350 sq. feet and I’ll take you all along. My aim is to Survive Small and Live Large. My blog will come alive again soon as well. First picture is the bathroom. Just wait till ya see my shower and my medicine cabinet that is build in the wall. Other picture is the closet with drawers. Not to worry about the lost hanging space. Currently I’ve been using pop can tabs on hangers so I can hang down. This hanging space will be 15” longer than what I’m now using. WOW. But of course I’ll continue what I’m doing and be in no hurry to fill it up!
