It's coming together!

I know it's been awhile since I updated on the progress of my little living space. While things are happening I struggle cause I have so many things I wanna save and present them as a final "wow, isn't this kind of a neat thing". I've had a lot of help with really good ideas from the guys who are doing the work. I say things like, "Well, I'd really like to do this, but ....." and the next thing I hear is, "We can make that happen." Thus I'm gonna have barn doors for closet doors. I've never considered myself a decorator and I haven't had much practice either, therefore this project has been challenging and overwhelming at times but hmmm, yes I could also say exciting as well. I want so much to have a farm house feel. I miss my home that was sitting on 17 acres.  I'm just trying hard to transform 350 square feet into a peaceful place with a country feel. Probably only a week, week and 1/2 before all is complete and I'm moving my things in. I can't praise enough my contractor and the team he has. One thing I have enjoyed so much is there are a couple young people on the team. I love seeing them learning a trade. When we were discussing the design of the desk, it was the young fella that offered an idea that I LOVED!!!  I'm gonna share a few more photos. The bed I chose has 12 drawers. Lots of storage space. I just can't gain too much weight as I age cause it's a children's bed. Tip's bed will be atop the cedar chest. This way she has access to a window. She will miss the upstairs window she currently has to watch the world outside, but I trust this will be a great replacement for her.

Next week I'll be helping with the version of VBS that my church does. It's called Theater Kids and for 5 days the kids work on a "play" to present to parents and any who wish to attend on the evening of the 5th day. I was amazed at what I saw the first year. The second, I assisted with crafts, and again was amazed at what these kids could do. Of course they are given the music and parts a few weeks early so they have an idea, but they put together the props and oh my it's just amazing. I enjoy seeing the opportunity the kids are given to display their talents in such a way. And also, of course, the gospel is shared with them.

I got a second storage space. I know, I know...I just got rid of one (of the two I originally had). BUT, this one is located right around the corner from the one holding most all of my earthly possessions. As I sort thru and select things that will work at my new place and purge those things I now must let go of...well I know there will be just a few things I will still probably need storage for. But only 1 SMALL storage space is in my future.

Tip's bed will be atop this cedar chest. A gift from
my Grandma and Papa, many years ago.

My bed with 12 drawers, 6 on each side.

A finished shower. I love the "rain" showerhead,

And a bench that folds up. I am getting older you know!
