As I may have mentioned earlier I've moved all my stuff from the room I occupied upstairs to either my new living space or out into the garage. I've brought only a few things from storage. I said all that to say this....I'm not there yet, but I'm getting there. They installed my bathroom door today and I wanted to share that but first, some other things been happening as well.
Lots of lose ends here that still need put away, or thrown away. I'm terrible about collecting sayings, or pictures and looking at it for a few days then putting it away somewhere to be discovered again at a later time. Like the words I found today and had to tack up under my You just have to keep pushing yourself picture. It says:
WRITE what should NOT BE forgotten.
That is forever my goal but truthfully I'm sure I write lots of trivial things too.
I found my Pray reminder that was a gift and Lynn do you remember us making the frames at your house? And which cup to use for pens...the one with a D on it or the one with a paw print that I made?

I've just been putting this and that on my peg board. Once all is in place and I begin to write more regularly I'm sure I'll want to adjust. Take down and put something else up. Besides I've discovered 5 pairs of scissors. And that's not counting the good pair that's with my sewing tools. Sheesh, that's too many!! Who needs 5 pair to choose from when needed? And you know you can only use one pair at a time. Of course, still room for more books to come from storage. Don't know if you can click on the picture to see more closely but next to that snowman on the shelf is the cab of an old pickup truck and on the other side of those books is the bed of that truck. I'll try and get a better picture. I wasn't gonna buy too much "new" stuff for my space but I did need some bookends and when I saw those - just too perfect. The blue heart says "God will heal your broken heart...if you give Him all the pieces." I try to do that every day.
Gotta squeeze a photo of Tip in. And the shelf above my bed will hold the sentimental things I'm still hanging on to. The poodle bookends aren't actually Grandma's, but she had a pair just like these. The monkey was in Mama and Dad's things, I'm not sure if it belonged to one of them or not but why would you hang on to such a thing if it didn't. The old, old 1958 calendar is the one Mama used to record lots of stuff. It has lines by each day and she noted important things on it, like how she was feeling up to my birth and even wrote something the day I was born. Oh wait a minute, this old, old calendar is as old as I am. Of course I opened to the date I was born. I love those calendars. The photo is my Dad's High School baseball team. I understand he was a decent player and my fondest memories are of watching some Major League games on TV with him. Oh how he loved baseball. Still looking for more treasures from storage to go on that shelf. On my headboard is Mama's High School picture.

My closet. Hanging my tops down saves on space. I know you can buy plastic things that allow that but I just asked my family to save some pop tops...you know from cans that have 2 small holes in them. They work mighty fine. My closet is small but I'll have all the space I need.
Something I've been waiting on for a long, long time. My bathroom door. Today it was installed. I didn't want the standard size and I wanted it to look just a tad different. My contractor delivered. So immediately when you enter my space, across the way is this bathroom door. Well, it's like across the hall. Go right/bedroom, go left/kitchen and living space.
And lastly tonight - my TV and shelf/cabinet under. Everything on that little mantle was a gift, well except the basket in the middle. I purchased it to support the men and women in the country that the church I was attending had sent missionaries. Debbie S. remember the sheep that says Every blessing is heaven sent? It's been years and years since we worked together. That was a gift from you. Wendy, that cross was a gift from you, not so very long ago. I loved these gifts. I kept hold of them.
My kitchen area is coming along nicely but in disarray tonight. A trip to storage tomorrow for things I've seen in there. Oh so close to being able to say - it's all done now. Very, very close to being a year since the idea was presented and ideas began swimming around in my head. Have to admit, it's been a pretty long year.
You have been busy! Lynn
